Licuala Plant Portrait Print

This print is taken from an original hand painted and pieced collage. The bleeding heart plant, or Dicentra, features heart-shaped flowers that hang from arched pink stems. In this depiction, the Dicentra flowers and leaves are intricately depicted against a deep purple background. The stems, foliage, and flowers extend from a traditional blue and white ginger jar.

The print is produced in a local print shop in Boston, MA. It measures 11” x 14” and is printed on heavy weight card stock.

About the Artist:
Kate Martens studied sculpture and fine arts but it was her two trans-Pacific moves to Seoul and Singapore that inspired her work of small ceramic objects, paintings, and line of paper goods.
